POST GRADUATE RECRUITMENT PROGRAM ASIA PACIFIC

Babcock & Brown is pleased to announce the launch of a Post Graduate Recruitment Program for the Asia Pacific region. The program will provide excellent opportunities for candidates who have completed an MBA or Masters degree.

POST GRADUATE OPPORTUNITIES
Babcock & Brown has a number of positions available for MBA and other Masters graduates (particularly in Applied Finance, Law, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering or Commerce), including Analyst and Transaction Execution roles, which are two typical entry points into our business.

Analyst
Babcock & Brown's Analysts play a critical role in the Transaction teams by providing financial modeling expertise, undertaking valuations analysis and supporting the team through the execution of complex transactions across all of our businesses. Whilst you do not need direct "Analyst" experience, you will need to have experience in a commercial environment and have exceptional analytical and numerical abilities.

Transaction Execution
The Transaction Execution role is a key part of the overall Transaction team. It focuses on the facilitation, structuring and closure of transactions, as well as the management of third party relationships. You will need to have an undergraduate degree in law and have some experience with reviewing and drafting legal documents.

Locations
These roles are on offer in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Mumbai.

Experienced Hires
Babcock & Brown has a range of roles such as Associate and Originator roles that are on offer as part of this program. These roles require extensive prior experience in running transactions within the Investment Banking sector.

In addition to the Analyst and Transaction Execution positions, Babcock & Brown will also consider more seasoned MBA and Masters graduates, with extensive experience in the Investment industry, for hiring into a range of other roles in the business.

Successful applicants who have completed and returned the Post Graduate Recruitment Program Application Form will be contacted by email to be advised of the next phase of the recruitment process which may include on-line Ability Assessments.

As part of the selection process, you may be invited to complete these assessments.
Click on the following link to find out more about on-line Ability Assessments. On-line Ability Assessment

Assessment Centres
Candidates who are able to achieve benchmark results in the on-line Ability Assessments will go forward to a standard testing and assessment process known as an Assessment Centre. This simulates the type of challenges that you will be faced with at Babcock & Brown.

The Assessment Centre will take place over a half day period and will require you to complete a case study, prepare and deliver a presentation in a group setting, re-sit an Ability Assessment and interview with our business leaders.

Assessment Centres can be a challenging experience but most candidates enjoy the process.  The Assessment Centres provide candidates with the opportunity to demonstrate their range of skills to Babcock & Brown business leaders.

Interviews
Interviews will be conducted over the phone and in person.
Phone interviews are an initial contact point to assess your communication style and your preferences in working at Babcock & Brown.

During the interview process, our leaders will assess your compatibility with Babcock & Brown's culture and work environment. Our approach is to focus primarily on your past experiences and accomplishments as well as your general suitability for the role for which you applied.

Our leaders will also be interested in your knowledge of Babcock & Brown and of the Investment industry in general.
